JL Photo Co. History

JL Photo Co. has specialized in photographing youth sports and related programs throughout S.E. Michigan since 1989. Combining over 30 years experience in organization, photography and photo finishing of youth sports programs, JL Photo Co has the ability and reputation of providing problem free, on time delivery of quality photographic products to players, parents, and coaches of many youth sports organizations in your area.

Scott LaForest


Scott LaForest- General Partner/ Chief Photographer

Scott is an award winning photojournalist with 25 years of professional photographic experience. His work has been published in many local, regional and national publications. Scott has experience in many different aspects of photography, including ten years overseeing the operation of traditional and digital professional photo labs. Scott has been associated with JL Photo Co. concentrating on youth sports photography since 1997.

  Leigh LaForest


Leigh LaForest- Director Sales & Marketing

Leigh is an award winning sales and marketing director with over 15 years of professional sales and marketing experience. Her extensive sales experience in print and television media has helped to increase JL Photo Co.’s customer base throughout Michigan. Leigh’s main objective is to maintain positive customer relationships and to cultivate new ones while keeping the JL Photo Co. name in front of the public. Leigh has been involved with JL Photo Co. since 2004.

  Kevin LaForest


Kevin LaForest- General Partner/General Manager

Kevin has been with JL Photo since 1990. His professional background includes; photographing schools, reunions, weddings, church organizations, and various other large groups. Kevin also has many years experience overseeing the operation of traditional and digital professional photo labs.

Cathy Johnson- Production Manager

Cathy is responsible for overseeing the packaging and distribution of all products produced by JL Photo Co. She is also an intricate part of the quality control department. Her primary goal is to ensure a timely delivery of all products to our clients. Cathy has been involved with JL Photo Co. since 2000.

Vickie Waddell- Digital Darkroom Manager/ Quality Control

Vickie is responsible for the printing, color management and quality of all the products produced in our digital photo lab. She holds an Associates Degree in Photography and has over 20 years of experience working in the photography field. She has been employed with JL Photo Co. since 1996.
   

Our most important asset is you, the parents, children, volunteers and administrators of youth sports in Michigan.
